This event will launch the publication of the groundbreaking edited collection by Palgrave Macmillan, Sinophonecene?: Tracing Environmental and Cohabitational Perspectives in Contemporary Chinese Art.
The collection, edited by Franziska Koch, Nora Wölfing, and Cila Brosius, ‚traces the intersections between the growing controversies revolving around the Anthropocene on the one hand, and artistic and curatorial practices situated in the Sinophone world on the other.‘ The launch will feature discussion of the collection by its editors moderated by Paul Gladston, UNSW Judith Neilson Chair Professor of Contemporary Art.
